June is our early season (June 15th-June 30th)
We will target rainbow trout before they migrate back to Naknek Lake, as well as early-run King Salmon.

We will target Sockeye Salmon as they return to the Naknek River. We may target King Salmon in the second half of July depending on fishing conditions.

August is Silver Salmon season, with the best silver fishing in the first 15-20 days.

September is our Trout season. September 1st - 30th
We will target record rainbow trout (25-30”) before they migrate back to Naknek Lake for the winter.

What’s included:
Advertised Lodging & Guided Fishing. Continental breakfast, field lunch & transportation to a local restaurant for dinner if desired. *Dinner is not included
Preparation of all harvested fish and an airline-approved insulated shipping container. Use of chest waders, fly rods & reels, King Salmon rods & reels, spinning rods & reels, and all flies, lures, and tackle. Transfers between the King Salmon Airport and the Lodge. All local taxes.
Each (day) booked includes two nights of accommodations and one day of fishing. Rates are based on double occupancy. We can accommodate singles at a slightly higher rate. Fishing licenses are not included.*

How we got started
Steven & Tiara moved to King Salmon, Alaska, after Steven had completed a 6-year enlistment with the USAF to continue his Air traffic control career as a contractor for the FAA.
Together they dreamed of owning a lodge in Alaska, and in 2018, Journey began as a fishing guide service in the small town of King Salmon.
After two years of growing the business, the time came to expand into providing lodging for fishing and non-fishing guests alike, and thus Katmai B&B was started.
Between Katmai fishing guides and Katmai B&B, they serve guests from around the world, helping them achieve their dreams of fishing & bear viewing in one of the most remote corners of Alaska.

Steven J. Benjamin is a highly regarded, Fishing guide, USCG Capitan, Save Bristol Bay Guide Ambassador, Fly Fishing Instructor, and Rainbow trout and Arctic grayling record holder. He has successfully guided guests from around the world, helping them catch wild salmon & trophy Rainbow trout. Together with his wife Tiara, all of their guests’ expectations are met.

Tiara S. Benjamin is a well-respected host and local of King Salmon. She has consistently delivered unique experiences for guests from around the world, providing crucial support and concierge services. Tiara prides herself in ensuring that Katmai B&B guests are well taken care of and have a spectacular stay at Katmai B&B.
